कुछ ऐसा हो जाए ओ जी

कुछ ऐसा हो जाए

धरती अंबर चन्दा सूरज

खेलें आँख मिचौली 

धूप चाँदनी वर्षा बादल

जमकर करें ठिठोली

चन्दा आए धरती पर फिर..

यहीं कहीं खो जाए.

कुछ ऐसा हो जाए ओ जी

चन्दा की बुढ़िया से भी तो

करनी हैं कुछ बातें

ठिठुर-ठिठुर कर ठंडक में

Al Barzakh - The Realm After Death in Islam

It is the belief ('Aqeedah) of deen that after death, mankind will enter a realm before the day of resurrection, which is known as Aalam-e-Barzakh. There are many sects in Islam who claim to be Muslims but do not believe in Aalam-e-Barzakh.' This is a grave misunderstanding on behalf of these people. Death is the ultimate reality that no human can escape. It awes people and challenges all of their false claims of deviant beliefs. It puts an end to their hopes for prosperity and success in this life. Once there, they have no way of returning to this life.

Allah say's in the noble Qur'aan:

"Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he say's, "My lord! Send me back. Perhaps I may do good in that which I have left behind," Indeed no! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is a Barzakh until the day when they are raised up."

The discussion regarding Al-Barzakh is only based on authentic text from Allah's book and his messengers Sunnah. It has been mentioned in the Qur'aan and has been established by numerous Ahaadeeth.

Al-Barzakh has two states. A person will either be punished in this realm, which is known, as "Azhaabul-Qabr" or he will receive the blessings and bounties of Allah due to his faith and good deeds, this is known as "Tan'eemu Ahlit-Taa'ah Fil Qabr" in Arabic.

Majority of the books on six Aqeedah only mention the former state and suffice on that. This is due to the fact that the narration regarding six Azhaabul-Qabr exceeds the narrations regarding Tan'eemu Ahlit-Taa'ah Fil Qabr. Also, due to the fact that there are more people who will be punished in the grave than those who shall receive bounties. It is reported in an very lengthy Hadeeth reported by Ahmed and Abu Dawood on the authority of Al-Baraa Bin Azhib, that they (the companions) when out with Allah's messenger to the funeral of a man from the Ansaar.

They reached the location of the grave before it was dug. The messenger of Allah sat down facing the Qibla; and they sat around him quietly, as if afraid to disturb birds standing on their heads. He held in his hand, a stick with which he was moving the earth, raising and lowering his eyes three times. He said to them (two or three times),

"seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the grave." Then he said (three times), "oh! Allah I seek refuge in you from the punishment of the grave."

From this Hadeeth, we can see that the prophet himself seeked refuge from the punishment of the grave. No human being will be speared from the squeeze of the grave. However, the following Hadeeth indicates that it is not the same degree of severity for all people; some it would be Sa'ad bin Mu'az; however, he was squeezed once then released." (Narrated by At-Tabrani in Al-Kabir).

However those who will receive the bounties and the mercy of Allah will truly be in the gardens of bliss. Although it is apparent that the best protection against punishment in the grave is to carry the truth belief in Allah and avoid the major sins. There are specific things that are mentioned in the Ahaadeeth that protect a person from the punishment of the grave. These things are as follows: Martyrdom on the battlefield (At-Tirmizhi), standing guard in the way of Allah (Muslim), death caused by abdomen disease (At-Tirmizhi), reciting suratul Mulk (Al-Hakim), Dying on Friday (Ahmed and At-Tirmizhi).

Before the two above mentioned, it states that the person will be approached by Munkar and Nakeer.

Boy And The Apple Tree - Love Your Parents

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow...he loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by...the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad . "Come and play with me" the tree asked the boy. "I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more" the boy replied. "I want toys. I need money to buy them." "Sorry, but I do not have money... but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money." The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was deeply saddened.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited "Come and play with me" the tree said. "I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me ? " " Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house." So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and upset.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted. "Come and play with me!" the tree said. "I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat ?" said the man . "Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy." So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. " Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you ..." the tree said. "No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite" the man replied. "No more trunk for you to climb on" "I am too old for that now" the man said. "I really cannot give you anything... the only thing left is my dying roots" the tree said with tears. "I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years" the man replied. "Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, Come, come sit down with me and rest." The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears...

This is a story for everyone.
The tree is like our parents
When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad...
When we grow up, we leave them...only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble.
No matter what,
parents will always be there and
give everything they could
just to make you happy. 

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted we don't appreciate all they do for us, UNTIL it's too late. May Allah forgive us of our shortcomings and may He Guide us, Insha'allah Ameen

Check Yourself

Even if your misfortune is a punishment, it’s still a blessing because it means that Allah has chosen to punish you in this dunya (earthly life) for your sins, rather than subject you to the much worse punishment of the aakhirah (hereafter). That is a kindness from Allah, and He would not do it if He did not love you.

The other reason we are punished is so that we can learn and do better. When we punish our children, it’s not because we hate them, but because we love them and we want them to learn and become better human beings. Allah also loves us, and wants us to be purified, and to fulfill our potential. That is a blessing from Allah.

So if you seem to be going through constant hardships, check yourself. Be brutally honest as you assess your life. Ask yourself, “Am I still on the straight path, or have I wandered? Am I living my life according to the Quran? Am I taking the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) as my example? Am I sincere with people and myself?”

Recognize that if the misfortune you have experienced causes you to analyze your life honestly and make positive changes, then there was a purpose behind the pain. That too is a blessing.

I have a great purpose 

To love Allah means to be righteous. To be a model for others. If you do not have the ability to lead, you have the ability to be the change others need. Be yourself. Be what Allah created you for. A perfect being with a great purpose. 

No matter how much talent you have; whether small or great, your purpose is great in the simplest ways. Your purpose may be to say one kind word to someone who has great potential. And in that you share the greatness together. So never judge anybody, for greatness lies not in money or power, but in righteousness. And, never underestimate your greatness, because our creator, creates great things in many different ways. 

Don't be mislead by bizarre ideas that tell you, you are not good enough. That tell you not to live or enjoy life, or that steer you in a certain direction. You were created with a purpose, and every action you take, is fulfilling your purpose. You will create great results if righteousness is your friend.

Although this world is not our permanent abode, it is a means to the hereafter. And part of earning a great reward, is remembering Allah constantly, and serving Him. So strive to be successful, enjoy each moment, and be the change you want to see. Enjoy this life all while being righteous.

If someone mocks at you, know that truly successful people are mocked often, yet they put those distractions aside, because deep down they know that the almighty is happy with them. He is using them to accomplish His will. They know that Allah will reward them immensely for obeying His commands.

Remember, “Man came to this world to be perfected by means of knowledge and supplication. In regard to his nature and abilities everything is tied to knowledge. And the foundation, source, light, and spirit of all true knowledge is knowledge of God, and its essence and basis is belief in God.” (Bediuzzaman Said Nursi)

Our ultimate purpose in life is to worship Allah. We were not created in vain. Allah is too great to create purposeless things. He the most-gracious says in the glorious Qur'an: "Do you think that We created you for nothing and that you will not be returned to Us? The true Sovereign is too exalted above that. (23:115-116)." He further says: "And I did not create the Jinn and mankind except to worship Me (Qur'an, 51:56-58)" and "[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving. (Quran, 67:2)"

Every breath we take, it was decreed by Allah. When the almighty plans, He plans perfectly. And we are part of His perfect plan. It is His will that we be the instrument of His results. It is His will that we serve Him great in the ways He has decreed for us.

UGC HAS ISSUED THE NOTIFICATION FOR THE UGC NET/JRF EXAM DECEMBER 2012. the details are given below

The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research.

The tests are conducted twice in a year generally in the months of June and December. For candidates who desire to pursue research, the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is available for five years subject to fulfilment of certain conditions.

The JRFs are awarded to the meritorious candidates from among the candidates qualifying for eligibility for lectureship in the NET. JRFs are available only to the candidates who opt for it in their application forms.

• Lectureship NET: for appointment as Lecturers
• JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) NET: for appointment as Lecturers and also receive fellowship from UGC

Important Dates for National Eligibility Test (NET) 2012 December

• Opening date for online registration: 1 November 2012
• Closing date for online registration: 16 November 2012
• Last date for sending documents at the test centre: 22 November 2012
• Date of Written Test: 30 December 2012 (Sunday)

Eligibility Criteria for National Eligibility Test (NET) 2012 December

Educational Qualification

• Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PWD) (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/ institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test.
• Final year candidates can also apply. Such candidates must complete their PG degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
• The PhD degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19 September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (ie, from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.
• Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post-graduation only. The candidates, whose post-graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects, may appear in a related subject.
• Candidates with post-graduate diploma/certificate course(s), should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their course(s) with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. (http://www.aiuweb.org/)

Age Limit (as on 1 December 2012)

• Lectureship NET: Minimum 19 years, no upper age limit
• JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) NET: Minimum 19 years; maximum 28 years

Selection procedure for National Eligibility Test (NET) 2012 December: The UGC-NET was conducted in objective mode from June 2012 onwards. The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will be held on 24 December 2011 in two separate sessions as under:

How to Apply for National Eligibility Test (NET) 2012 December

Candidates need to download Bank Challan Form in triplicate (Bank Copy, UGC Copy & Candidate’s Copy) Performa from the UGC website OR take photocopy from the UGC-NET Notification published in the Employment News and then deposit the requisite test fee in any branch of State Bank of India along with the bank charges (commission) of Rs 20.

Application Fee: The application fees to be paid by SC/ ST/ PH/ VH candidate is Rs 110, for OBC candidate is Rs 225 and for General candidate is Rs 450.

• Before applying Online, the candidates must possess the following: (i) Scanned passport size photograph in JPEG format of less than 300 kb, (ii) Copy of Bank Challan (fee receipt).
• Candidate seeking admission to the Test must apply online through a link available on the UGC website: http://ugcnetonline.in/
• After successful submission, the candidate should take printout of online Application Form (two copies), Attendance Slip (one copy), and Admission Card (one copy) on separate A-4 size papers.
• The envelope containing the Application Form should be super scribed “UGC NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR LECTURESHIP, December 2012”.
